A small FAQ about aXs-Gaming and the Sponsorships we're giving out. *v0.2
Q: How come u picked such a difficult/long Clanname?
A: Thats a funny story, we first picked the Clantag before thinking about a name. so we just grabbed a dictionary and looked up for possible words. the result was awesome xtreme superiority
Q: Ok, how come aXs is playing since 2003 and i never heared of you guys?
A: We used to play in the ECL (European Cyber League) only but then it died and we wanted continue playing with aXs. So we've joined Clanbase. Another point could be that we never played a lot of 5on5 and hardly had our own Public Channel.
Q: Why you got a lot of Clanbase Player then?
A: After we got a bit inactive since baddy stopped playing we wanted more People with a nice amount of skill like us and after we noticed that we couldnt find those in the ECL we tried to ask CB Players.
Q: Aha ! then aXs is a whoreclan for sure?
A: It ain't at all, we always wanted to play for the fun and have some laughs so we never forced members to wear a clantag on irc or ever told them to be that much active. we just continued on this rule untill today. the result is a smooth athmosphere in our clan, people play when they want or when they are in the mood and still have the time to play for their main clan. we would call axs as a place where friendship and fun takes the most priority.
Q: So you dont have any members who are playing for aXs only?
A: A few who weren't active enough anymore for a normal Clan still idle and play sometimes with us and aXs has become their main Clan at this time.
Q: I've heard aXs gives out free E-Mails, Webspace and Bouncer for their Members?
A: Since we got an unlimited amount of E-Mail Accounts or redirections why not offering them. Everyone who rents a Webspace got the ability to offer it and it's not much work. So we thought instead of just having the possibility we decided to give it away.
Since we got our own Server we got a high amount of Webspace and we were able to run our own Bouncer and because of that we were able to do the same like with the E-Mail's.
Q: Where are your Gameserver located?
A: We're currently running 2 UT99 and 1 UT3 Gameserver which are located in NL and Germany. The Providers are SnakeServers and K-Play.
Q: Can I get a tryout?
A: Normally you can't. aXs is an invite-only Clan. But it is always worth a try to ask.
Q: What language do you Speak in IRC or Teamspeak?
A: We used to talk English only. Altough if only a a few people are around and from the same Country they use to talk their own Language.
Q: Will you sponsor my Clan?
A: Since we got a big amount of Clans who want to get Sponsored we have to decide which Clan is worth for it.
Don't get me wrong but if we're going to Sponsor you and your Clan will die a few months later or you're just too inactive there's no point in a Sponsoring. We do not Sponsor new Clans !
Q: What are you offering so far?
A: If you missed to take a look in our Hosting section we provide Bouncer, Teamspeak, Shoutcast, Eggdrop, Webspace and Ventrilo
Q: I see.. and what is the Premium Hosting?
A: For successfull Clans we're offering a better Service which also means a higher amount of BNC, more Slots for your Teamspeak/Ventrilo Server and of course those Premium offers. We're currently only providing divisioN one of those Services and time will tell when we gonna expand it.
Q: What happens when i signed up for a Sponsorship?
A: We will check your application and take a look at your Website, recent Wars and IRC Channel. We will have a discussion if your Clan will be worth to get sponsored and you will receive a Mail in the next 2 Days.
Q: My BNC is down/G-lined ! What happened?
A: As you prolly know nobody is perfect. It just happens that your BNC will disconnect sometimes for a few seconds/up to a few Minutes but you will get that at every Provider but don't worry it will usualy rejoin all Channels and you just need to Auth again (Password protected Channels may need to get added again manually). If the BNC gets G-lined for more than 15 Minutes then you can lean back and wait until we located/fixed the problem. This wont appear that often. Please do not E-Mail or Query us on IRC about it since we also use those BNC and want them back as soon as possible.
Q: I always get the message 'Wrong Password - Disconnecting' but everything is correct !
A: Make sure your Identd and E-Mail start with your Ident which you received with the Activation E-Mail.
If everything is correct and you think it's our fault write a short Mail with your ID.
Q: Can you change my Ident?
A: If you got a very good reason yes. For example this may be a bad reason: "I don't like my old ident anymore.. can you change it plz?"
Q: Jeez I really need another Password for my BNC !
A: You know you can save our BNC password in the Server Settings. If you don't want it and can't copy/paste it (however some people really don't get the idea to save it in a Text file) you can ask our Support to set your own Password.
Q: Our Teamspeak/Ventrilo Server is down !
A: If your Server is down feel free to contact our Support at support@axs-gaming.com and provide the following Info: Clan, Date/Time when it went down, Error Message.
Q: Would you like to play a Praccy or an Official against our Clan?
A: Of course. Just ask.
Q: Is it possible to order Gameserver at aXs-Gaming?
A: Yes ! After refreshing our Partnership with Game-Arena.co.uk we're now able to offer you to order a high quality Private or Public Gameserver for Unreal Tournament 99 and Unreal Tournament 3. After you've filled out the application form correctly you'll receive a Mail from the Game-Arena Admins with more information.
Q: We were not able to get a Sponsorship - Is it possible to pay for your Services?
A: This option will be available in the near future. You can rent single Bouncers or a Clanpackage with 10% discount (same goes for an Eggdrop), TeamSpeak and Ventrilo Servers with a maximum of 64 Slots, Webspace up to 250GB and standalone Shoutcast Server.
Q: What about Websites?
A: We will soon add a new Section to our Website called aXs-Media which is a totally new Service specialized in Designing and Coding Clan-related Websites on a high professional Level. After we've made Websites for several Clans we're used to bring up your unique Design in about a few Weeks with using the standard Webspell or Vwar Content Management System. The Price depends on the amount of work and could increase if you want to use another CMS.
Q: Is there a Content Management System that beats all?
A: Soon ! You will be able to purchase our own coded CMS, which is a HybridScript of Joomla, Webspell and Vwar. It has all the good and usefull functions (most of them are improved) and less Gimmicks you won't use anyway. The whole System is coded by ourself just got inspired by others with Ideas. Furthermore you will be able to download Plugins for most of the known Online Games with special features, Addons to extend your CMS, a Script to place Bets on Wars and a lot of more. We're still in developing it but the early beta tests will be available soon.
Q: I would like to Join aXs-Gaming with my Gaming Squad/Clan or open a new Gaming Squad
A: First of all we won't say no at the beginning. We had some requests about that in the past and got a bit annoyed about the attitude of those "Players" who straight asked their way trough our Hosting Section to get as much as possible Services. We can't and won't offer you anything at the start but if we see some efforts of your Team we're of course able to hand out some usefull things to Support your Team. |
