looking back i can say we went kinda inactive in unreal tournament 99 and we're currently only into playing funwars. many things happened, some were good and some not but in the end we managed to keep it up and everything went nice again. at this time i would like to say thanks to  NiNa who did quite a lot and was always a helping hand for me and the other members when there were problems and questions.
also thanks go out to all members who keep aXs-Gaming alive and chatting around in the private channel day by day, thanks to Seth and DaChef for taking care about the website and rankings in search engines, thanks to those who organized wars, funwars, praccys and recruited new people/or kicked them when i wasn't around that much. also thanks to the people in #axs-gaming, all the friends of aXs-Gaming and the others who supported us.
thanks to  steelseries,  Game-Arena and Case King for the great partnership, we're looking forward to another year of successful teamwork.

aXs-Gaming will offer a special christmas event on sunday 23th of december.
we gonna publish a little but tough quiz about our clan and those who will figure out everything or will have the most scores are able to win some prizes. we're still not sure how many questions and what it will be about but i guess it would be an easy way to get something for free.
we're offering the following rewards:
- 5x 1 psyBNC Bouncer
- 2x 1 Teamspeak Servers
- 10x 150 MB Webspace
maybe we gonna add something more to the list but currently that will be what you could get.

aXs-Gaming reveals: The Dot !

dear ladies and gentleman i'm happy to provide you, the beloved visitors of the aXs-Gaming website, a first how-to-do about the long awaited dot crosshair in unreal tournament 3. at this time thanks again to  »dåMn« aeon who figured it out and told me how to make it work !
first of all, download the 2nd beta patch. if you didn't know there was a 2nd patch then feel free to download it here from our website.
1) now after you've installed the patch successfully go to your UTWeapon.ini.
2) find [UTGame.UTWeapon]
3) add below bUseCustomCoordinates=true; CustomCrosshairCoordinates=(U=276,V=84,UL=2,VL=25)
if you did everything correct you should be able to play with the dot again.
of course you're also able to work around with it a bit. my dot looks now the same as in unreal tournament 99 and it improved my aim a lot recently. just change the coordinates to (U=476,V=29,UL=5,VL=5) and the dot is a bit bigger and less translucent.

New Management/Co-Management and some other stuff !

as i mentioned in a news before we had a new poll for our management and co-management positions in aXs-Gaming.
every member (included Alexia and me aswell just to make it fair) was able to get his votes for those positions and we had another poll for the squadleader position in unreal tournament 99.
anyway i gonna make it short as i'm currently busy with the new aXs-Gaming website. the new management will be vierra and NiNa.
the co-management will be Alexia who had a direct vote and the 2nd will be  Xalon (welcome back) ^^ after having a draw between  Hamza and  Banez. the ut99 squadleader will be NiNa aswell and she will take care about the whole unreal tournament 99 part.
i also want to say welcome to our new members SuN and FluX ( NiNa said she will add them) and a special news will follow tomorrow/in the next days.
something important to the people who signed up for a sponsorship recently: we've received all of your applications and gonna work it out as soon as we got some time as we had some busy days in the past with the voting and working out new concepts for ut3.
at this time i would like to announce that we're still looking for 2-3 talented ut3 players for ictf/itdm only. applications can be made at zero@axs-gaming.com or come to our irc public channel #axs-gaming.
and as always i forgot to mention that craX has joined us for unreal tournament 3 ! as a known friend of aXs-Gaming and one of the leaders of the sponsored clan divisioN we had some nice chats from time to time and i'm happy to see that fragging monster in our squad for a new experience in a new game ! i'm looking forward to a nice success in different ladders and leagues in the future.

Game-Arena is Back - Better, Bigger and outstanding to every other Server Provider

Today I'm glad to announce our new, refreshed Partnership with Game-Arena !
Game-Arena was one of the first Partners of aXs-Gaming in 2004. When Game-Arena was launched we used to help out first but later we had some Gameserver as a return. What can I say.. there are many Server Provider out there but I promise you won't find a better offer for your international Clanwars against others from all over the World. Why from all over the World? - Game-Arena is one of the Provider where even UT Players from the USA prefer to play on those Servers according to the very low pings compared to others.
As one of those who played vs them I just can say, I've never seen an American Player with a Ping of 80 on a European Server !
Game-Arena is also not like every other Provider, their Admins are active Gamers and play on Game-Arena Servers aswell. If you need help with setting up the newest Anti-Cheat software you've got the best Helpdesk available as a few of them are Members of www.anti-cheat.co.uk ! If you think thats cool then fasten your Seatbelt, others are Admins of several Leagues and know how to deal with the perfect Gameserver - the best settings for important Cupwars !
Game-Arena has also a lot of experience in Hosting Cups and so called Pick-Up Channels for i.e. Unreal Tournament 99. If you need a quality Partner for your next Event then don't wait and give them a call !
You won't regret to try one of those incredible Servers and I'm pretty sure you will like it - We do !
As always I keep forgetting to mention the important part ! Game-Arena will provide us a Private Clanserver and 2 Gameserver for the soon announced Unreal Tournament 3 2on2 iCTF IRC Pick-Up Channels.

Unlock the World.. or at least the new Chars in UT3

maybe some of you already noticed the button "enter unlock code"... what does that mean?
for those who have pre-ordered the collector's edition of UT3 (which is me for example) at amazon or gamestop will receive an exclusive gamecard to unlock a special character for online and offline games.
imo it doesn't really make sense because when the english version is out everyone will get the codes in some way from people who bought the collector's edition.
anyway you're also able to free some characters when you play the campaign and win so called "boss battles". i've edited this news now at around 23cet because i wanted to see what chars are available and yes you need to play the campaign if you want them ! i tried to figure it out if there's a new entry in my .ini but i 'guess' the stuff is stored in your user profile file.
after playing a lot of warfare (which sucks tbh), ctf, vctf and tdm i received messages like "new character unlocked" or that i've received a new card which you can use in your upcoming map to make it easier for you.
here the official list of all (so far) available characters:
Iron Guard: Lauren, Barktooth, Harlin, Slain, Blackjack
Ronin: Reaper, Bishop, Othello, Jester, Kai
Krall: Scythe, Cerberus, Gnasher, Scorn
Necris: Akasha, Loque, Damian, Kragoth, Malakai
Liandri: Matrix, Aspect, Cathode, Enigma
you gonna face Akasha in the last game which is a quite boring 1on1 and after that (of course if you win) she will get unlocked. i've added a screenshot of my customized version of it for all who want to make sure its no waste of time to play the campaign. for those who wanted to get malcolm.. i'm not sure if it will continue in the english version, so far it seems that the 'story' didnt end. tho i personally would have loved to see xan again.. bah :/

ut3 - the first steps

today ladys and gents ut3 arrived in germany !
after playing some offline and online i gonna write a small review about it.
first of all we start with having a really sucky german accouncer, text and really weird translations from english into german. (i doubt there are any germans working at epic). anyway thank god you have visited our website to get rid of that !
after having a quick chat with -daMn-aeon (one of the toughest guys you will ever meet in ut3 later) he told me a nice and of course easy way to switch it to english.
you have to download the following file and create a new folder called INT in your localization folder (for example "UnrealTournament3\UTGame\Localization\INT"). copy all files in your new created folder and go to "\My Games\Unreal Tournament 3\UTGame\Config" and edit the file UTEngine.ini. find the line Language=DEU and replace it with Language=INT !
congratz - you're done and enjoy the game without the weird german speeches.
back to the topic.. after installing the game i started to set up my character. a great thing imo ! you're able to edit the facemask, helmet, googles, torso, shoulder pads, arms, thighs and boots which means you can design your individual character xD
ok lets continue.. i guess you also need to finish the campaign to free more parts and classes.. which is kinda boring. i really enjoyed the offline mode in unreal tournament 2004 but it looks epic was drunk while creating this boring one. it looks like an adventure with all the mods like ctf in it. i constantly skipped the prologue and also the other stuff maybe thats why i don't really like it.
after wasting 1 hour with that i decided to go play online vs some others. my first attempt to find an instagib server failed and i was afraid of the variety of existing servers. 80% multiplay is pretty shit for germans but lucky that the netcode has been improved. i had no probs with lags or something but normal weapons just sucks !
after all i didnt really continued playing as i dont have the time today but i promise to add some more info and also some screenshots to my news in the next days. my final result of unreal tournament 3 = le pwn but with a weak offline campaign... oh almost forgot, enjoy facing your enemys on deck16 and coret again combined with our lovely instagib ;p

we're glad to officially announce our new squad for unreal tournament 3.
after 4 years of unreal tournament 99 we decided to switch to epic's newest title and wanna take place in the new-age competitions in several leagues. we decided to add 2 squads for the game - 1 classic/normal weapons and 1 instagib only.
our unreal tournament 99 squad will stay though but the main priority will be on the ut3 part in the future.
so.. you prolly know what will happen now - we're looking for some quality players who are interested in playing for an multi national clan with members from whole europe and enjoy playing for fun and getting the success as a nice feature. those who always dreamed about playing in the international scene or getting famous.. here's your ticket !
we're not interested in clanwhores this time and don't want to recruit a lot of new people. basically we're now looking for a few more to get a solid 6-8 player team. and as NiNa^ told me before her example i will just copy/paste it now > so if you "own" and feel like joining a team with sexeh (males/females) people, please contact us. as you can see not only male players are dominating in the axs-gaming clan - we've got a high amount of really skilled female players aswell who are almost better than some other guys here.
at the same time i also would like to say a nice welcome to Ashampoo as the first member to our new ut3 instagib squad. i dont know much about him so far and as NiNa^ recruited him or something like that i would invite her to edit my post with some additional info about him.
anyway.. we're into a serious new start atm and as soon as i got some time to work something out (which would be next weekend) we gonna get starting trough.
according to the recruitment we're currently giving away the following positions:
- 4 high skilled instagib players
- 6 high skilled normal weapons players
- 3 news poster
if you're also interested in earning some money with your coding/design abilitys take a look at our job section. we're offering a few quite nice jobs for our future projects with a high payment rate. a portfolio is required and dont waste your time if you dont match our criterias.
